Requirements

We require a BS Degree in Engineering (Computer Science, Electrical, Chemical, etc.) or equivalent experience. Experience in Control Systems (Emerson, Allen Bradley, Foxboro, Siemens, Honeywell), SCADA, MES, and database systems, or computer system validation are considered a plus. Up to 40 % overnight travel may be required. Proof of COVID-19 vaccination is also required.

Do you have experience with Automation and Process Controls? Do you have a knack for leading services based sales pursuits as opposed to hardware or product sales? Are you looking to join an award winning and growing company? Panacea is looking for individuals like you to help continue our success as a Business Development Manager for the Northeast United States.   As the Business Development Manager for the Northeast you would live in NY, CT, MA, NH, VT, or RI (location is flexible) supporting our clients in the Northeast and office in Albany, NY. Experience with solution based selling for services is a must for this role, and a successful candidate will have opportunities for bonuses in addition to an already competitive base salary on top of a full benefits package.   As Business Development Manager you will be tasked with cultivating new clients and expanding services within existing clients. You will also work with Panacea’s VP of Customer Operations and VP of Projects to plan and successfully deliver projects within client constraints from an operations standpoint. Our company’s success depends heavily on our ability to cross-functionally collaborate so proven success with this is a must. Travel will be required within the Northeast region. A successful candidate will be proficient and self-driven with lead development, have a high understanding of process controls and automation as a whole, and be able to have high level discussions with client’s C and V level stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for maintaining a healthy sales funnel containing our full suite of services and novel software and hardware platforms in pursuit of a set territory revenue goal.
  • The Business Development Manager must pursue new clients and expand within existing clients to achieve or exceed territory goal.
  • Qualify and Identify legitimate opportunities consulting our engineering team to craft a solution that exceeds client expectations and is well defined in Scope. This will help to ensure seamless transfer to the project team with the foundations for project success both technically and financially.
  • Must be empathetic and have the ability to develop long term successful relationships with clients.
  • Ability to plan and execute sales plans with guidance from the VP of Customer Operations that encompasses all of Panacea’s services and novel software and hardware platforms.
  • Act as a representative of Panacea when negotiating contracts, deals, and partnerships.
  • Have proficiency with office productivity tools.
  • Experience with presentations, meeting planning, and customer event planning.
  • Ability to communicate Panacea’s abilities to meet client’s expectations as well as educate on potential service offerings they are unaware of.

Requirements

  • Ability to adapt to multiple sales situations
  • Must be coachable and willing to collaborate with the VP of Customer Operations, VP of Projects, and Engineering team.
  • Extensive service selling and solution selling as opposed to product sales is a must.
  • Working knowledge of automation and process control will ensure a high degree of success.
  • Organization and experience with using a CRM is necessary.
  • Experience with the total sales cycle from lead development to relationship development as well as proposal creation through negotiation and closing.
  • Proof of COVID-19 vaccination.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering (or equivalent) and five years of relevant experience OR Bachelor Degree with ten years of relevant experience.
  • Geographical knowledge will be taken into heavy consideration.

The DeltaV Lead Engineer is responsible for designing and developing Emerson DeltaV and Rockwell control systems in support of process operations. Interacting with client personnel to identify and analyze continuous improvement through automation upgrades. Managing, documenting, and implementing these upgrades through changing control procedures. Developing SOPs and training staff on Automation Systems. Troubleshooting, analyzing, and resolving field control system issues. Developing, reviewing, and/or executing automation qualification and validation protocols. Managing automation projects through effective financial and schedule control. Executing capital projects including control system software development; control system hardware design; network design; MES system implementation; recipe management; user requirement specification development; and process equipment installations. The DeltaV Lead Engineer must possess a master’s degree in Computer science, Electronic Engineering, Chemical Engineering or related engineering field or a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Chemical Engineering or a related engineering field and 5 years of progressive experience in systems or application engineering. Any suitable combination of education, training, or experience is acceptable. Must have knowledge of DeltaV automation systems, Visual Basic, and RSLogix 500 PLC.
